What is a Wiki?

A wiki is a collaborative website which can be directly edited by anyone with access to it. Ward Cunningham, developer of the first wiki WikiWikiWeb, originally described it as “the simplest online database that could possibly work”. (Ward Cunningham's original description of Wiki). Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis.

How are articles categorised on this Wiki?

To aid logical ordering, articles are categorised by two levels on this Wiki, by tag and by namespace. Articles may contain multiple tags but only one namespace. Tags may also be designated in real time, whereas namespaces in good practice be created by an administrator.

Why do I keep being taken to Wikipedia?

Many non-specific links in articles will link you to relevant Wikipedia articles. This is to avoid duplication. Once you are done reading/researching the Wikipedia article, just press the Back button on your browser toolbar to return to UnifiedBlue.
